Starting from our humble beginnings in 1988 as a provider of Assurance services to companies within Singapore, KK Chua & Co. along with its affiliated companies has grown to become a one-stop service solution for all of our Japanese clients. Chua Keng Hiang
•Bachelor of Accountancy(Honours), University of Singapore,1979
•Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (U.K.).
Mr. Chua started his career as an audit assistant with Coopers and Lybrand(now known as PricewaterhhouseCoopers) in 1979 after graduation. He was promoted to audit manager in 1984 and left three years later to join the investment banking industry. While he was with Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Chua was in charge of the audit of many major clients of the firm, including one of the largest banking groups in Singapore, the UOB Group.
In 1987, Mr. Chua joined the UOB Group to specialize in initial public offering, mergers & acquisitions and financial advisory services. He was in charge of the corporate finance and venture management operations when he left the UOB Group in 1994.
From 1994 to 1998, Mr Chua spent four years in the People’s Republic of China where he was engaged by a Singapore listed company to manage a diversified group of companies in China.
Mr Chua joined our firm as a partner in 1999.
Mr Chua currently sits on the board of three Singapore listed companies as lead independent director.
Tan Wee Hoon Joanne

Ms. Tan began her auditing career with our firm in 1997.
Ms. Tan quickly rose to become a manager and a key member of the management team. Her professional experience encompasses a wide range of industries and she has audited companies not only within Singapore, but also overseas in countries like Japan, Holland, the United States and even Russia. Ms. Tan also boasts considerable experience in other service areas such as taxation, corporate secretarial services and insolvency.
In 2016, Ms. Tan was recognized for her efforts and became a partner of the firm having helped to shape much of its structure and core values

Mr. Kawara started his career as a bank executive with Mitsui Bank, Japan in 1970.
In 1974, Mr. Kawara joined Chuo Audit Corporation, Osaka, Japan and obtained his public accountancy qualification in 1980. He was seconded by Chuo Audit Corporation to Coopers and Lybrand( now known as Pricewaterhouse Coopers), Singapore from 1989 to 1993 and from 1996 to 2002 as Director – Japanese Business Group.
Mr. Kawara joined our firm in 2002 as a Director responsible for practice development and client service. He also advises our clients on technical matters. He was appointed to be a Senior Advisor of our firm in 2017.
Mr. Kawara is responsible for reviewing the client service. his professional experience in Singapore and in Japan encompasses a wide spectrum of industries and he has helped to shape much of our firm’s practices by ensuring that we know how to properly service our Japanese clientele.

Mr Yamabayashi started his career as a computer programmer with a financial institution in Osaka Japan in 2005. He joined the ASG Audit Corporation Tokyo Japan (presently Grant Thornton Taiyo LLC., Tokyo Japan) and obtained his public accountancy qualification in 2009.
Between December 2012 to March 2014, Mr Yamabayashi was seconded to Japan Research Institute Ltd, Tokyo Japan for management consultancy and financial advisory projects. Mr Yamabayashi then continued his service with Grant Thornton Taiyo LLC., Tokyo Japan until July 2016 when he moved to Singapore to join KK Chua & Co.
Apart from his wide ranging audit experience, Mr Yamabayashi has undertaken numerous advisory assignments such as due diligence, valuation,
feasibility study and special investigation. He now holds the position of Senior Manager within KK Chua &Co. and is responsible for providing business advisory services to our
